(Redirected from ADS)
Founded in 1938 by Kenneth W. Gatland and H. N. Pantlin, two junior draftsmen at Hawker Aircraft. The group operated out of Surbiton and Tolworth in Surrey. As a result of correspondence in "Flight" magazine Gatland came into contact with Eric Burgess of the MAA. In 1942 Burgess and Gatland began to publish joint bulletins before formally merging the two groups into the CBAS in 1944. At the end of the war CBAS would also merge with the newly incorporated BIS.
