Major (RCAF) Marc Fricker
Major Fricker joined the Canadian Forces as an aircraft technician at 19 and spent six years repairing aircraft avionics systems. He attended the Royal Military College, receiving his commission and a bachelor's degree in computer engineering in 2000. In 2002 he received a master's degree in robotic engineering from RMC. Upon completing aerospace officer training he was promoted to captain and assigned to the Canadian Space Agency as a robotics instructor on the International Space Station (ISS). He trained astronauts, cosmonauts, and flight controllers on how Canada's robotic systems function on board the ISS. Once he completed his term at the Canadian Space Agency, he returned to his career in the Canadian Forces as an aerospace engineer, and is now managing the Aurora Incremental Modernization Project, Block III.
