Lev Stepanovich Demin; Colonel, Red Air Force; born 1926, Moscow; married, two children. Graduated from an Air Force communications school, Zhukovskiy Air Force Engineering Academy (1956), earned a degree as candidate of technical sciences (1963), and joined the cosmonaut corps in 1964. He was the flight engineer on Soyuz 15.
