NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration began evaluating new technology that could substantially improve the efficiency of the Nation's air traffic system, including improved on-time arrivals, increased fuel efficiency, and a decreased work load for air traffic controllers, according to scientists at NASA's Ames Research Center.
