A panel of the National Academy of Sciences asserts that the Gravity Probe-B is worth its cost. The controversial space experiment to test Einstein's general relativity theory is expected to cost a half billion dollars. NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin hopes to create six Science Institutes run by universities or companies. Goldin says the institutes would not save money but he believes they would improve the quality of science in the Agency. (Science, Feb 24/95, Mar 17/95 & May 26/95)
