Formed in December 1936 as an offshoot of the Science Fiction League in Leeds England. Originally suggested by Harold Gotliffe the group briefly dabbled with ideas for liquid fuel rockets. Douglas W.F. Mayer began a research file on petrol-air rockets at this time. The group were interviewed by the Leeds Mercury newspaper on December 15th 1936.
