A meeting is held at the home of Philip Ellaby Cleator on Oarside Drive in Wallasey, England. It is the first unofficial meeting of the British Interplanetary Society. According to Leslie J. Johnson about half a dozen enthusiasts showed up to discuss future plans. Cleator also showed them a rudimentary rocket motor.
