Entropy a science fiction story by American Interplanetary Society founder Nathaniel Schachner appears in Astounding Stories magazine.
Maurice K. Hanson publishes the first British science fiction fanzine Novae Terrae. In 1939 Hanson will become the mathematician on the British Interplanetary Society's lunar spacecraft committee. In this first issue Hanson writes an editorial entitled When Will the Space Ship Arrive?
