Johnson Space Center announced selection of Singer Co. Simulated Products Div. for an $8-million cost-plus-award fee contract to develop a space shuttle orbiter aeroflight simulator for crew training. Singer would design, manufacture, and test a simulator that would include a high-fidelity crew station, out-of-the-window color visual scene, motion base, and flight computer and simulator interface to simulate vehicle flight dynamics and motion during the atmospheric phase of missions.
