George Newne publisher of The Strand magazine publishes the first edition of Fantasy Thrilling Science Fiction in England. The premier issue includes By Rocket Ship to the Planets by Philip Ellaby Cleator founder of the British Interplanetary Society.

Maurice K. Hanson of the British Interplanetary Society publishes issue #25 of Novae Terrae magazine in London England. Edward John Carnell, William F. Temple and Arthur C. Clarke are associate editors. Cover art by Harry Turner.
