A Russian Progress cargo spacecraft launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, carrying fuel to the uninhabited ISS for use in adjusting the station's orbit. The craft also carried scientific instruments, linens, and personal-hygiene supplies in preparation for the October arrival of the station's first permanent crew.
