Space World Magazine began publication in May 1960 and was published bi-monthly by Spaceways Incorporated of 57th Street New York. The publisher was William Woolfolk.

  • Assistant Editors - Ernest Haussman
  • Art Director - Allie De Pina

Contributors to Space World in its first few years included Wernher von Braun, Willy Ley, Isaac Asimov, Richard Wylie, Ray Bradbury, Krafft A. Ehricke, T. Keith Glennan, Hugh L. Dryden, Fred L. Whipple, Ernst Stuhlinger and many other principal figures in early space research.
