Spartan 201, an American spacecraft, was released from STS 69. It carried x-ray, far UV, and visible light instruments to study corona and galactic clusters during its two-day mission. At the time of its retrieval, it was unexpectedly found to be spinning. It remains to be determined whether any usable data were collected during its free flight.
