Soviet government announced Cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova would visit Prague Aug. 15 at invitation of Czech government. (AP, Wash. Sun. Star, 8/11/63, A6)

Company began final razing of World War II TNT manufacturing facilities at Plum Brook Station. At the height of production during WW II, 12 TNT production lines were m operation and 6,000 employees were at work. The 6,000-acre site now is the home of a nuclear research reactor and numerous rocket engine test stands. (LRC Release 63--65, Lewis Chronology, 7)
