Raymond L. Clark

Raymond L. Clark, was Director of Technical Support, Kennedy Space Center, he was responsible for the management and technical direction of the operation and maintenance of KSC’s test and launch complex facilities, ground support equipment and ground instrumentation required to support the assembly, test, checkout and launch of all space vehicles both manned and unmanned. Born in Sentinel, Oklahoma, in 1924, Clark attended Oklahoma State University and was a 1945 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy with a degree in military science and engineering. He received a master of science degree in aeronautics and guided missiles from the University of Southern California in 1950 and was a senior project officer for the Redstone and Jupiter missile projects at Patrick AFB from 1954 to 1957. He joined KSC in 1960. Clark retired from the Army with the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1965.
