Martin Schwab is a world security strategist and author of Homeplanet Defense: Strategic Thought for a World in Crisis (West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania: Infinity Publishing, 2005). He founded the Homeplanet Defense Institute, an informal global network of consultants based in northern Virginia (www.homeplanetdefense.org). Mr. Schwab is a member of the Aerospace Technology Working Group, serves on the steering committee of the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs, has been an active member of the Mars Society and is president emeritus of the Washington, D.C. chapters of both Citizens for Global Solutions and the World Future Society. Mr. Schwab has served on the board of directors of the Philosophical Society of Washington and has worked with the Space Security Working Group at the Eisenhower Institute in Washington, D.C. as well as the Federal Trust for Education and Research in London. Mr. Schwab holds a Master of Public and International Affairs degree in security and intelligence studies from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives outside of Dayton, Ohio. www.martinschwab.com.
