Barbara A. Morgan

Barbara Morgan is currently working as a contractor at the Johnson Space Center and supports NASA as an on-orbit imagery documentation engineer for the International Space Station Program. She is a member of the National Association of Government Communicators and has recently joined the International Association for the Advancement of Space Safety. Her memorable experiences have included promoting NASA and working with the public through sporting events via NASA's Public Affairs Office over the last several years. Most memorable was having the opportunity to represent NASA colleagues in memory of the fallen heroes of the Space Shuttle Columbia by being one of several coworkers to carry the United States flag onto the Houston Astros' baseball field at Minute Maid Park prior to the Home Run Derby in July 2004. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in corporate communications from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
