20. What are the chances of finding another solar system with a habitable planet? (A K2S Question)
From The Space Library
Many astronomers are working on this question. Right now we can only find really big planets, like Jupiter. The Kepler Space Telescope, which will launch in a couple of years, should be able to detect planets the size of the Earth. Identifying if they are habitable may take a few more years, though.
