April 12-13: German pilots Kochl and Huenefeld, and J. Fitzmaurice made first westbound transatlantic airplane flight in Junkers Bremen.

In front of the press Max Valier, Fritz von Opel and Friedrich Sander demonstrate their RAK-1 rocket propelled car at Russelsheim in Germany. Race car driver Kurt C. Volkhart drives the car powered by 12 x 90mm powder rockets to a speed of 120km/h. Only seven of the rockets actually ignited.
