Biography

Wolfgang Both is a retired communications engineer (*1950). He lives with his wife in Berlin/Germany. The couple have two sons. When he discovered Jules Verne's "Trip to the Moon" more than 50 years ago in the library of a summer camp he became excited by science fiction. He still loves that genre of literature. During his study years he joined a science fiction fan club at the university. Since that time he has been an active member in German fandom. He has published several articles in SF magazines and worked as an editor. He wrote a book about left-wing utopias since Bellamy (Rote Blaupausen – Red Blueprints, 2008). When he rediscovered Willy Ley´s early novel "Starfield Company" (2011) he established contact with the space flight community. He is currently working on biographies of less known German rocketeers.
