[{Time magazine]] runs story Utter Bilge about Astronomer Royal Richard van der Riet Woolley's claim that space travel would never be possible. Leonard J. Carter of the British Interplanetary Society rebutted by stating "We believe the first flight to the moon will take place within the next 20 years and that Professor Woolley will live to see it..."
