Practical Mechanics magazine in the UK has a feature article about rockets and space travel written by BIS chairman Professor Low. The article "If We Visited the Moon" features a graphic of a manned rocket which looks similar to the A-4/V-2 with the caption, "A rocket flying-ship, which was demonstrated' on the Continent a few years ago." The article also features another of a disc shaped spacecraft with the caption "An impression of a space ship of the future." This graphic makes no claims of illustrating an "alien" spacecraft but the shape significantly predates the famous UFO sightings of 1947.
