The Civil Aeronautics Act became effective, coordinating all nonmilitary aviation under the Civil Aeronautics Authority.
The Paisley Rocket Society under the guidance of John D. Stewart fires its first photographic rocket, a 40" long 9 oz solid fuel engine with a miniature camera and parachute. The launch took place at Tarbert Loch Fyne. The rocket climbed to 300' and successfully landed 600' from the launch site.
