Reaction Motors Division of Thiokol Chemical reported successful completion of a series of 36 tests on the final XLR-99 engine for the X-15, at the Arnold Engineering Development Center, Tullahoma, Tenn.

First color photographs of the earth taken at high altitude, secured with recovery of data capsule of Thor launched on December 1, 1959.
