Dr. Athelstan F. Spilhaus, Univ. of Minnesota geophysicist, announced that he was resigning to become president of the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, succeeding Wynn L. LePage who would become board chairman. (UPI, NYT, 7/16/67,33)
