The Bulletin of the American Interplanetary Society changes its name to Astronautics. Issue #19 is the first published with this name. David Lasser is editor. It includes an article by H.H. Sheldon of New York University called "The Control of Rocket Vehicles".

Pirates of the Gorm a science fiction story by American Interplanetary Society founder Nathaniel Schachner appears in Hugo Gernsback's Amazing Stories magazine.
