Dr. James C. Fletcher, NASA Administrator, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in energy research and development with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Dr. Chauncey Starr, President of EPRI, had signed the agreement 24 Nov. The agencies would cooperate in applying safety, reliability, and quality assurance techniques developed for the space program to electric power generating plants and in research and technology development for advanced energy systems.
