German rocket experimenter Reinhold Tiling and his assistant Angelika Buddenbohmer died when a rocket they were testing exploded in Tiling's laboratory in Osnabruck. The explosion took place on October 10th and Tiling succumbed to his injuries the next morning. An engineer named Kuhr survived with severe injuries but could not provide details of the accident.
