First annual meeting of the American Interplanetary Society at which David Lasser is re-elected president and G. Edward Pendray vice-president. Nathaniel Schachner was re-elected secretary and Laurence E. Manning treasurer. William Lemkin was elected librarian.
At this meeting David Lasser gives a lengthy speech in which he reveals that he has been in discussion with Robert Esnault-Pelterie of France and Nikolai Alexeyevich Rynin of the Soviet Union. The point of this conversation was to establish an international organisation, which Lasser called the "International Interplanetary Commission" (IIC). Lasser presented a proposed constitution for the IIC and announced that G. Edward Pendray was approaching the Germans at the Verein Für Raumschiffahrt to see if they are also interested in joining such an organisation.
