Hiller Helicopters produced two-place helicopter powered by ramjet engines.

NACA Langley Research Center conducted first flights of mancarrying, jet-supported platform at Wallops Island in exploratory investigations. In these tests, a person was supported by a jet-thrust device attached to his feet.
