In his State-of-the-Union message, President Eisenhower requested revision of the National Aeronautics and Space Act of 195S, to abolish the National Aeronautics and Space Council and the Civilian-Military Liaison Committee (CMLC). Polaris test vehicle achieved first fully guided flight from AMR.
