Armistice signed in Korean war. USAF reported that 5th Air Force had shot down 984 Communist planes, including 823 MIG-15's. USAF lost 971 planes : 94 in aeral combat of which 58 were Sabrejets, 671 downed by ground fire, and 206 lost through other causes.
