June 14-15: First nonstop Atlantic flight from Newfoundland to Ireland, 1,930 miles, was accomplished by Capt. John Alcock and Lt. A. W. Brown of England in a Vickers-Vimy-2 Rolls 400, in 15 hours 57 minutes.
