Heinz Gartmann delivers lecture Wege zur Mondrakete (Paths to the Moon Rocket) to the Gesellschaft für Weltraumforschung in Stuttgart. At the same event a resolution is passed to contact the leading lights of astronautical research in other countries. This resolution triggered the formation of the International Astronautical Federation.
