Three-time spaceflight veteran Navy Captain Frederick Hauck, Commander of the first post-Challenger Shuttle mission, announced he would leave NASA on April 3 to join the Pentagon staff of the Chief of Naval Operations. (NASA Release 89-39, Mar 23/89)
