Kennedy Space Center had awarded a $382 000 contract to General Electric Co. for a multispectral-image-analysis system for data from the ERTS 1 Earth Resources Technology Satellite (in orbit since 23 July 1972), from Skylab's earth resources experiment package (carried on the Orbital Workshop in 1973), and from remote-sensing aircraft.
