The TWA Moonliner was a 76' tall fictional design for a moon rocket created in 1955 by the Walt Disney company to sit in the center of the Tomorrowland theme park attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim California. It was designed by Imagineer John Hench based on discussions with Wernher von Braun and Willy Ley. The rocket was painted in red and white and would remain there until it was taken over by the Douglas Aircraft Company in June 1962. The main purpose of the rocket was to attract people to the Rocket to the Moon ride which took audiences on a fictional ride to the moon.

The iconic Moonliner was built in three sections out of steel rings and 15,000 sq ft of aluminium plating. It was dismantled on September 13 1967.
