The most important part of all the Skylab missions. Pete Conrad repeatedly stated this mission was his most satisfying, even moreso than walking on the moon. The work of humans in outer space was proven after the Skylab 2 crew both erected the solar shade, which cooled the station, and freed the solar panel, which supplied much needed power to it. Thanks to their efforts all three missions to Skylab went ahead as planned.
