Vitaliy Ivanovich Sevastyanov; civilian; born July 8, 1935, Krasmouralsk, Sverdlovosk region; married, one child. Graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute (1959), earned a master of science degree in engineering from the Institute (1965), and became a cosmonaut in 1967. He was the flight engineer on Soyuz 9.
