The first conference on control/structures interaction technology for large, flexible spacecraft, sponsored by NASA and the Department of Defense, was scheduled for November 18-20, 1986. (NASA anno)
NASA announced the formation of an operations task force for the Space Station, co-chaired by Carl B. Shelly and Dr. Peter T. Lyman.
