Planetary scientists at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California announced the discovery of "ring arcs" orbiting Neptune. NASA scientists noted that, unlike the rings surrounding Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus, Neptune's rings did not appear to completely surround the planet.
