August 12-13: Chicago Daily News editorial said there appeared to be "conspiracy" to keep details of Apollo 15 commercialism from public. "Not only were public and press barred from the five-hour committee hearing [see Aug. 3]; a curtain of silence was imposed after the session." Paper reminded "both NASA and the committee that they work for the public. Let's quit playing cozy and bring the facts into the open so the public can make its own judgment."
