British Aircraft Corp. announced that Britain's Ariel 4 (launched by NASA Dec. 11, 1971) had been reactivated to support five Skylark sounding rocket launches from Andoeya, Norway, to study magnetic substorms associated with the Aurora Borealis. (SF, 2/74, 41)
NASA launched a Javelin sounding rocket from Natal, Brazil, carrying a Univ. of California and Max Planck Institute ionospheric physics experiment. The rocket and instruments performed satisfactorily. (GSFC proj off)
