Douglas B. Shaffer, president of Astro International Corporation, and Kenneth E. Smith, the company's director of NASA programs, pleaded guilty to soliciting and accepting inside information on a $3.3 million NASA contract. The company also pleaded guilty. (AP, Mar 29/94)
